The EMS World Expo 2025 is right around the corner. This conference, held annually in Indianapolis, Indiana, is the premier global event for EMS-focused education and training. It features immersive hands-on sessions, pioneering education, unparalleled networking opportunities, and a dynamic exhibit hall. The 2025 EMS World Expo will be held from October 20-24, 2025.
The Public Safety Group is proud to have several affiliated speakers at this year’s event, covering topics such as critical care, EMS instruction, and equity in care.
Eric Bauer is the CEO of FlightBridgeED, LLC. He brings more than 30 years of experience in EMS and 22 years in HEMS. As a passionate educator, Eric has authored two best-selling books and delivered 95 lectures on emergency and critical care at both national and international levels.
Eric's contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including being named the 2023 NAEMT | Jones & Bartlett Learning Public Safety Group EMS Educator of the Year. Through his writing, speaking engagements, and podcasting, Eric continues to influence the field by simplifying complex medical topics and advancing education in critical care transport. Kevin Collopy, MHL, FP-C, NRP, CMTE, and FAEMS, is the Director of Clinical Integrity at Life Link III. With 25 years of experience in prehospital medicine, Kevin is a frequent speaker at both state and national conferences. He has taught emergency and wilderness medicine across seven countries and has contributed to over 200 publications, including more than 30 peer-reviewed research abstracts and papers.
Kevin is a member of the U.S. advisory board for the International Paramedic Registry, chairs the Global Critical Care Transport Higher Education Council, and is a past president and emeritus board member of the International College of Advanced Practice Paramedics. He is an EMS Advisory Board member at the Jones & Bartlett Learning Public Safety Group and has also developed educational programs focused on global trauma. Additionally, Kevin is a mentor in the NAEMT Lighthouse Mentorship Program, holds a LEAN Healthcare Blackbelt, and possesses a master's degree in healthcare leadership.

Captain Rom Duckworth is the Captain of the Ridgefield Fire Department. He is a committed emergency responder, author, and educator with over three decades of experience in career and volunteer fire departments, hospital healthcare systems, and private emergency medical services. Captain Duckworth has been honored with the American Red Cross Hero award and the Sepsis Alliance Sepsis Hero award, along with numerous accolades for excellence in education and dedication to service.
As an international leader in emergency services education, Captain Duckworth is the Director of the NAEMT Northeast Region and actively participates in national advocacy, education, and advisory boards. He has authored or contributed to several PSG instructional materials, including:

Michael Kaduce, MPS, NRP, is the director of the Falck Health Institute, where he spearheads initial education initiatives for Falck. Previously, he served as the EMT program director at the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine, managing the nation's largest EMT education program for six years. Michael is an EMS Advisory Board member at the Jones & Bartlett Learning Public Safety Group. He has contributed to publications on prehospital patient care and EMS educational best practices and is an author for the most widely used EMT and paramedic textbooks.
He represents the West Coast on the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Board of Directors and has taught NAEMT courses internationally. He is also a chapter author of Nancy Caroline’s Emergency Care in the Streets, Ninth Edition.

Kelly Kohler, MS, CCP-C, CHSE, and NCEE, is a certified paramedic based in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is employed full-time at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she manages the simulation lab. Additionally, Kelly teaches in the EMS Program at Dutchess Community College and works with Empress EMS. As a national conference speaker, she is involved with the NAEMT AMLS Committee and has authored courses for NAEMT, including the GEMS and AMLS courses.
Kelly is also a member of the Lighthouse Leadership Committee and is an EMS Advisory Board member at the Jones & Bartlett Learning Public Safety Group. Her accolades include the iSimulate Excellence in Simulation Award and the NAEMT Education Service Award. She earned her Master of Science in EMS from New York Medical College and holds an IBSC Critical Care Paramedic Certification.
Kelly will be presenting the session, “EMS: How to Keep the Passion Going.”
David Page, MS, NRP, is the director of the Prehospital Care Research Forum at UCLA and a field paramedic with Allina EMS in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. He is an author of the PSG Preceptor Course.
David also serves as the Director of EMS Education for EMS Corps and is the Chair of the International Paramedic Registry. An award-winning speaker both nationally and internationally, David is passionate about helping inner-city youth enter the EMS workforce. In recognition of his efforts in teaching prehospital care in developing nations, he received the 2019 Scott B. Frame Service Award. With over 39 years of EMS street experience, David continues to make significant contributions to the field.

Dr. David A. Vitberg has been the medical director for Recert since 2016.
Dr. Vitberg graduated cum laude from Brandeis University in 1997 and earned AOA honors from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2001. He completed a combined residency in Emergency and Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in 2006, followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the National Institutes of Health in 2008.
With nearly thirty years of involvement in Fire and EMS activities, Dr. Vitberg has served in various roles, including EMT, paramedic, firefighter, and now as a full-time EMS physician. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, EMS, and Critical Care Medicine, he currently serves as the Medical Director for the District of Columbia Fire and EMS Department and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He'll be speaking on the HOPE Collaborative: Optimizing Prehospital Equity.
